En Ce Moment Restaurant in Seoul

En Ce Moment (means now from a French word), one of the French bistro restaurant which is opened by Chef Tony Jung in Seoul.

They have three branches in Seoul. We visited the one in Jongno Tower on the first floor, it is accessible easily by using the subway station to Jonggak station.



It was pretty quiet lunchtime in En Ce moment. We visited without making any reservations in advanced. They welcomed us very friendly and casually. She escorted us to the table and served the water.
She brought us the menu which is on an electronic device/tablet. She explained us which main dish we would like to have. They have duck, pasta, lamb, beef (filet or entrecรดte). We chose the duck and filet beef for the main course. She inputted the order into the system and placed the order.
The menu is in the Korean language. They spoke a little English.

After a moment,  she served slices of bread and butter and the wet tissue/towel.

The bread presentation is very simple and beautiful. The bread was fresh and tasted good.

The wet tissue is elegantly presentable. 

 After a moment, The waitress came to serve the appetizer. We were curious about it and surprisingly amazed by the presentation.



The appetizer was cured salmon topped with seeds (I guess amaranth seeds - not sure), salmon roe, different kind of sauce. It tasted very good, the combination of seed and salmon is excellent.

After finishing the appetizer,  she removed the plates. She came with the box of main course knife from Laguiole. We can choose a different kind of colours that we want. 


She came back with the main course dishes.


The duck was served with pickled onion, beetroot puree, jus. 
The filet was served with mushroom, green leaves, green peas, salt. 

Both types of meat were cooked excellently at the desired level. Meats were juicy and tasted good combined with the accompaniment.

After finishing the meals, she came to remove the plates and the wooden service plates. While that, she asked for the coffee or tea as accompany for the dessert.

She served the tea and brought cutlery for the dessert. Afterwards, the dessert is served.


Lemon choux, strawberry ice cream, berries, marshmallow is served 


Overall, it was a great dining experience at en ce moment. Definitely, we will come back for the great food and service.
